It Hits - Part Two

A good day out - Agricola Street

One day in late January, 2025, the sun came out and it was good. My very best bud and I grabbed our cameras and hit the town. It was cold, but bearable.

We went to a part of town I know very well but haven’t had a chance to photograph much. The day brought a lot; great light, new spots, and people (my favourite subject). We made the most of the short-lived sunny afternoon, and here are some more photos from that very good day

Because of the amount of images, I’ve broken this post into two, it’s twice the fun for the same low price of free. Part two focuses on the Agricola St. area in Halifax.

There are so many cool character homes in this part of town, with a few of them featuring a LOT of colour - staying tried and true to that timeless East Coast tradition of painting your house in bold colours.

This car was bringing the heat on a cold day. I took about 20 pictures of it, but this shot was my favourite.

We eventually got to our destination of Agricola Street, which today had a fair amount of people bustling about; some getting caffeinated and others selling art on the street. I plan to come here a lot this summer, I haven’t really photographed this particular area in years, it’s got a lot more going on recently and definitely makes for some good street.

As the day wound down, the clouds rolled in and the light was quickly disappearing, so we started our way back to call it a day and managed to catch a few more shots before people started moving indoors.

So as I mentioned, this is part two of two. It was the first day in a while where I personally felt “on”, the light was amazing, I found some new spots I’d like to revisit, I got out with my homey and when you combine all of that, boy…it hits.
