The Fundamentals
Rural municipalities in black and white.
I’ve still got a bit to show from my trip to Alberta in early June, but most of those stories exist on the film that I shot there, and thats only now being developed at my lab after which I’ll tackle the scans myself.
Until then, here is a rather informal gathering of what I shot on my D750, using my tried and true Nikkor glass (50mm 1.8G, and 135mm 2.8 AiS), as well as some new lenses I picked up there for a steal (60mm 2.8D, and the 28-105mm 3.5D).
A lot of what I shot on digital was to warm up my eye and my shutter finger, to practice the fundamentals and whenever possible, composing my frames with story telling in mind. Did I do the latter? I dunno, maybe? Did I have fun? Yep!

Great stuff, Dan! Love the dinosaur end of playground, too. Also, weren’t you tempted by the Handy Dan’s Icy Drink sign? And the town called Carbon? Gold!
