Keeping an eye out for the Multi Tele in all future flea market explorations, because it looks like it'd do all the things I want in a point & shoot (especially the half frame option)

Yeah dude, it’s so solid. Gonna shoot a half frame roll through it soon. Definitely wait to find in a flea market, eBay prices are way overblown, it’s solid for sure but it’s not a 200$ camera haha.

Love my Canon Autoboy Tele 6 / Multi Tele. Its Auto Exposure + Autofocus combo rarely misses! One of the best point-and-shoot!

Nice! You’re the first person I’ve seen that also has one or one of the first that’s heard of it. Yep, it’s solid for sure.

Oh wow, the results from both cameras is really good! I also using my point and shoot a lot these days if I'm not going out with my large-format.

I think having less distractions when going out to shoot it's also important, and it sometime makes me enjoy more rather than complicated things on camera settings.

Couldn’t agree more. My point and shoots literally create a disconnect in my brain, in the best way. Just getting out there and snapping away…which to be clear, I realize can be done with any camera of course, but when I’m working with a bigger camera with a big, fat lens on it, the mindset is just different.

There's nothing like a good point and shoot and you scored two! Great job on the results.

Have you tried shooting the multi tele on half frame mode? A point and shoot with half frame/full frame switching sounds GREAT to me.

I have not tried the half frame yet, but I got a roll of Ultramax for that purpose in storage right now. I’ll definitely share the results in a post or note. I’ll just add that switching is not done on the fly, it’s on a per roll basis, but yeah as a feature it’s so friggin’ cool.

Having that option is always a plus...especially at the average eBay prices for that camera at the moment!

Absolutely, and if you can snag one in the condition mine was in, that’s a win.

Oh, thanks Katya! Absolutely point and shoots for the win, so addicting to pick them up. It’s becoming a real problem for me, haha.

What a great match up! The 120 is a really good looking camera. But both give great results!

Thanks, bud! Yeah the 120 impressed and is probably the winner for me, it’s great in the hand, and a bit smaller to carry anywhere.

Wow I’ve never heard someone explicitly reference the satisfaction of a shutter button. I have a point and shoot that’s been giving me some issues and was just explaining to my wife the other day how the shutter button is one of my favorite aspects of the cam😂🫠

okayfoto's avatar

Hah! Oh yeah that’s a real thing and for me can be a real hang up. For instance, I love my Pentax 17 but that shutter button is the worst of all my cameras, it’s so shallow. Absolutely not satisfying haha.

Thank you, Jason! Yeah it’s close but if I had to pick, I’d go with the 120, it would probably come down to camera ergonomics and a more satisfying shutter button.

Long live the underrated point and shoots!!!! The boxing gloves were a very humorous touch!!! 🤣🤣🤣. So, I didn’t think the tele was going to deliver like it did. A lot of times tele point and shoots deliver soft results—soft/blooming edges—but I’m impressed!!! The results on both are so crisp and detailed. People don’t know what they are missing out on when it comes to point and shoots—it’s like holding magic in your pocket! Great work, friend!!!!!

Thank you, Razlyn!!! Yeah, I honestly didn’t know what to expect with the Tele It’s trying to be so many things that I worried a bit, but like you I was also impressed! Thanks for being such and ambassador for point and shoots, honestly I don’t know if I’d be as into them if I hadn’t subscribed to you. Thanks, my friend!
