Holy heck bud. Those first three shots are for me. I love the vibes you're getting here, and it feels so wonderfully nostalgic. THANK YOU for reminding me to go do a big version of the car that is sitting on the campus over there. Maybe I'll get a chance to do that tonight.

I'm so glad you got this camera. It's a real nice thing and you deserved a real nice thing.

I knew you’d be into those store shots, I got plenty more coming. Go take that photo, friend; I can’t wait to see it.

Me too, man. It was a splurge but I got zero regrets.

Only gonna go up. Fine splurge.

Some bangers in here buddy. I especially like the ones of the cranes and shipping containers.

Thanks, homey! Yeah I could snap photos of those containers all day.

Nice shots! Of all the 35mm film manual focus SLRs I've owned (and there have been a few in the 52 years I've been shooting) the F3HP is my second favourite. As a spactacles wearer, the HP (high eyepoint) viewer option was second to none. Actually being able to see the edges of the frame made life so much easier. The meter was great, it was built like a tank and it never faltered mechanically. My favourite lens pairing was the Nikkor 35mm f1.4. The only other body which I preferred (albeit marginally) was the Nikon F2SB. The difference was solely down to the meter. I can't describe it but the metering pattern was always spot-on.

Nice. Yeah I have not experienced a bad meter in all my Nikons, rock solid every one of them and my F3 is no different. The HP viewfinder is a game changer in comparison to my FM2 and FE, love it. I was looking into the waist level as well but they are as much as I paid for the camera with a lens.

I eventually bought a WLF but, with care, you can simply detach the prism and use the ground glass as a WLF. It takes a bit of practice / getting used to as you won't have the magnifier for precise focusing. However, if you're using a wide(ish) lens, setting t at f8 and pre-focusing the lens to 3 metres or so, you should get good results.
